The reduction was carried out in a microwave plasma system. Iron ore particles are fully reduced in hydrogen plasma at 500 to 1500 W, 20 to 100 Torr and 300 to 800°C using hydrogen gas at a flow rate of 100 to 500 sccm (standard cubic centimeter per minute). The product is analyzed after it was cooled to room temperature.
